A question for anyone that reads it.
Should I keep with the set-up that I've been using (some info on the band, music, record, etc) or should I just post download links and if you're interested you can figure it out for yourself? The only benefit for the latter is that I would post more often probably. Any other suggestions/comments/criticisms are welcome as well.

Additional info on/for a post is ALWAYS nice and welcomed!
Or you could challenge the visitor to come up with "Their" info, and post it.
I know from my own posting/downloading that a "Right-Click-Search-Web-For" etc" is very easy.
We all have to do it IF we need more info on that Band/Post.

If you ask me, I would opt for giving readers some good info about music you want to promote.
It's hard to say that you really read a blog which is nothing more then mere download links aggregator ;)
I like this blog the way it is now. It's very easy to read.

i think you should write some stuff in each post, sometimes the band is unknown, is underrated or whatever, furthermore the blog looks so empty if there is no any text. And of curse dont forget that the visitors do not make comments all the time.. so some additional infos are always a plus
The way its going now is fine, the only thing I would do differently is maybe include a review of the record.
I vote for no change. It looks pretty good to me. Keep up the good work. It's appreciated.

there are enough blogs just with links and boring music, keep up the good work and give us some informations, I rather read something about a record before downloading it, than have 4 more records to download. quality not quantity
