I know very little about this band. The only thing that I'm certain of is that they are/were from Brazil and they have a split with Bread and Water that was recorded around October/November of 2000. I also read somewhere that they had a split with L-Dopa and had two ex-members of a band named Dumbs. I have tried to search for their name in English and in Portuguese, but that is all that I could come up with. If anyone has any information, please share.

Crustina Aguilera - Crushing the Imperialist Machine (One Demo At a Time)

I really don't know much about this band. I know they were from or lived near Amherst, Massachusetts. I also know that this demo is from 2000 and a split 6" with the band Unholy Grave was being planned. I'm almost sure that the 6" never came to be and that this band is no longer around (unfortunately). The tracks from this demo are sometimes mislabeled at Token Animal Song, Token Environment Song, and Token Religion Song. The Magits - Fully Coherent

It's unanimous, the blog will continue on it's same path. Thanks to everyone that left feedback. Anyways, on with tonight's post.

The Magits was Nick Blinko's band before Rudimentary Peni. There isn't much info about them online, but Rudimentary Peni's section in The Day The Country Died book has some pretty good stuff. Fully Coherent (from 1979) was their only release. It consisted of four tracks of synth (played by Nick Blinko) and vocals (from Martin Cooper). I'm posting it not so much for the "music," but more for the fact that it's just kind of interesting. Another EP, titled A Pawn In The Game, was slated to be released in 1980, but it never came into fruition. For a little more information, there is an unofficial website, but if you want more, or are even remotely interested in anarcho-punk, The Day The Country Died book is a must-read.

Should I keep with the set-up that I've been using (some info on the band, music, record, etc) or should I just post download links and if you're interested you can figure it out for yourself? The only benefit for the latter is that I would post more often probably. Any other suggestions/comments/criticisms are welcome as well.

Anarchoi is a modern anarcho-punk band with a classic anarcho-punk sound. They hail from Australia and seem to tour a lot. I don't know much else about them than what is on their MySpace. I got most of the MP3s from this site. Here is a list of their only releases, which is what I included in this post.

No Cash - Run Your Pockets

This was a band in the same vein of Choking Victim. They incorporated elements of hardcore punk, ska-core, metal, and rap into their music. This album, along with a split with the band Team Spider titled Summertime In The City, was the band's sole recorded output. They broke up in 2005. I don't have much other info about them. Wikipedia is the place to go for a bit more, but they remain mostly a mystery to me. I'm not even sure if their name was officially No Cash, No-Cash, No Ca$h, or No-Ca$h, as I have seen all of those. It doesn't really matter though because this band was amazing.

Choking Victim - No Gods, No Managers

This is one of my favorite albums ever. Choking Victim formed in New York in 1992 out of the ashes of the band No Commercial Value. No Gods/No Managers was recorded one day in 1999 and the band broke up the next, literally. Luckily there was enough good material to make one full album, and what an album it is. Every once in a while the band gets back together to play a show or two. This band play a hybrid style of hardcore punk, ska-core, and more that they call Crack Rock Steady. Most of the members now play in the band Leftöver Crack. As always, more info can be found on Wikipedia.

A//Political - Planting The Seeds Of Revolution

Ahh, finally time for the release that this blog was named after. A//Political was an anarcho-punk band from Baltimore, Maryland. Their style and influences can definitely be traced back to the late '70s-early '80s anarcho-punk movement. Planting The Seeds Of Revolution was their only full length release, but it was released as a cassette in true anarcho-punk fashion. They also distributed writings and other communiques written by themselves and members of their collective (the Crasshole Collective). Various Artists - Bullshit Detector 2

This is the follow-up to the first Bullshit Detector album. This one was released in 1982 on Crass Records. A double LP (I believe) with 38 tracks including songs by bands like Omega Tribe, Kronstadt Uprising, Anthrax, Youth In Asia, Chumbawamba, and many more. Discharge - 1977 Demo

This is the first demo that Discharge did. I would say that it sounds more like the Sex Pistols than Discharge though. This recording was before they had Cal as a singer. It seems like sometimes the singer is even trying to sound like Johnny Rotten. I had been looking around for this for a while but to no avail, so I went and bought a CD-R of this and a live set at the 100 Club off of crustpunks.com. I haven't listened to all of the live set, but what I have listened to it does seem like a pretty good recording.

Siege - Drop Dead

Neanderthal - Complete Fighting Music

This short-lived California band is often considered as one of the early pioneers of the power violence genre. This anthology compiles the only 8 songs they ever wrote/recorded/released. Members went to form Man Is The Bastard, along with many other bands.

Big Rig - Expansive Heart

Big Rig was Jesse Michael's band in between Operation Ivy and Common Rider. Expansive Heart, the only album by this Lookout! punk band, was released in 1994. Included are pictures drawn by Jesse for each individual track as well as the front and back covers.
